Is the DJI Matrice 5T coming?

Thermal camera, multi-sensor gimbal: the new DJI Enterprise teaser does not name the product yet. The clues are still clear, because the dock version already exists: the Matrice 5TD.

The teaser

What DJI has shown so far

On 29 October, DJI Enterprise released a short teaser video titled "Always in Its Element". DJI does not name the product. The video shows three things:

01 Thermal in focus

The video opens with a close-up of the thermal sensor.

02 Multi-sensor gimbal

Several cameras in one housing, like the Matrice 4 series.

03 Hint: Lidar sensor

obstacle sensing even at night and with power lines

The slogan fits: it points to a drone for any weather, day and night.

The strongest clue

The Matrice 5TD already exists

DJI follows a clear pattern: DJI Dock 3 came with the Matrice 4TD, which shares the thermal resolution of the Matrice 4T. Since 14 October 2026, DJI Dock 4 has been available with the new Matrice 5TD. Leaked photos of a Matrice 5 have been circulating since July.

Our assessment: the next logical step is a Matrice 5T: the 5TD technology in a mobile drone with a remote controller.
