ASDT SENDES Mobile - Anti-drone System

With the steadily growing number of unmanned aerial vehicles in the airspace, the need arose not only to systematize aviation regulations to regulate drone traffic but also to implement effective drone defense systems. Anti-drone solutions enable the protection of critical infrastructure elements, airports, prisons, power plants, refineries, government buildings, important public facilities, or mass gatherings from flight operations with unmanned aerial vehicles in their immediate vicinity.

ASDT SENDES is one of the leading C-UAS drone defense systems (Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems). The solution developed by the Spanish company ASDT Systems Europe S.L. is based on the proprietary SENDES technology, which relies on the real-time decoding of radio frequencies on which drones from the most popular brands such as DJI, Parrot, Yuneec, Wi-Fi, and RemoteID operate. The mobile version of the system is housed in a compact Peli case and has a net weight of only 14 kg.

Integrated omnidirectional antennas enable the mobile version of ASDT SENDES to detect drones in 360 degrees, based on technologies such as Remote ID, ADS-B, Wi-Fi, and RF. The solution detects the most common drone brands such as Autel Robotics, DJI, DJI Enterprise, Parrot, or Yuneec with high accuracy.

The mobile version of the detection and tracking system for unmanned aerial vehicles, ASDT SENDES, allows collecting information about drones within a radius of up to 5 km around the case in real time. The data transmitted by ASDT SENDES contains information about the drone – manufacturer, model, serial number, coordinates of the aircraft, RTH coordinates, and coordinates of the controller (for drone models with a GPS controller). Additionally, SENDES continuously transmits information on flight altitude and speed.

The mobile ASDT SENDES is a fully autonomous system. Built-in batteries enable up to 4 hours of operation without connecting to an external power source. For operation, a network connection is required, which can be realized both via wired Ethernet and via the mobile network in the 4G LTE standard. The ASDT SENDES case can be placed in a vehicle or outdoors. The entire system is weatherproof and protected according to IP65.

Operation is browser-based from any device – computer, tablet, or smartphone. The software offers intuitive handling with FoF filtering (Friend or Foe) as well as the generation of reports in PDF, KML, and XLSX formats. It also allows creating zones and receiving automatic notifications upon their violation, with the option for automatic or manual neutralization.

The SENDES system has already been successfully implemented in industrial facilities, government institutions, military sites, at borders, and in prisons, among others. It was also tested at Chopin Airport in Warsaw, where its range covered the strict city center. The system complies with the European Directive 2013/25/EU as well as STANAG 2345 Edition 4.
