TRAINING DETAILS:

During this workshop, organized by 3ds-scan.de and ProFlyCenter, you will learn how to use the photogrammetry software Reality Capture.

The two-day course includes hands-on, practice-oriented instruction on evaluating photo data in Reality Capture. The course includes:

  • Fundamentals of photogrammetry & capture techniques (manual & automated, UAV & terrestrial) for acquiring suitable photo data for RC
  • Introduction to the RC user interface
  • Photogrammetric evaluation with Reality Capture
  • Integrating terrestrial laser scan data into the photogrammetric evaluation
  • Generating orthophotos, 3D point clouds, as well as digital surface and terrain models
  • Preparing the data for visualization
  • Visualizing the data in Sketchfab and Potree

Depending on needs, the course can be tailored to the equipment used or your application goals. The software functions are taught practically using supplied practice data. On request, your own data can also be evaluated in the training — as well as a joint data capture carried out in advance.

After completing the workshop, the graduate possesses solid professional theoretical and practical knowledge for photogrammetric evaluation with RealityCapture, as well as basic knowledge of post-processing the generated point clouds with CloudCompare. The graduate is able to independently perform photogrammetric 3D surveying with photo data, evaluate the generated data photogrammetrically, export the resulting data products, prepare data for external software (GIS, CAD), and visualize/render them in external software.
