You receive digital training materials from Pro Fly Center and can work through them flexibly at your own pace. The content complies with EASA and NAA guidelines and was created by experts. Once you have completed all materials and interim tests, simply choose an exam date and register. Ideal for aspiring pilots who want to learn independently and save costs.

We examine with PRUEFSTER, a browser-based proctoring platform that reliably identifies and monitors participants during online exams. Our full service (Global Proctoring) includes live proctoring by trained staff based in the EU – primarily in Germany – as well as continual technical support for examiners and participants. Our solution is fully GDPR-compliant, supports over 20 languages, and is available around the clock – also for short-notice exams without prior appointment.

The theoretical exam can therefore be taken directly online once you have completed your training and sent your registration documents to Pro Fly Center. During the exam, 30 multiple-choice questions are asked from the subject areas of meteorology, UAS flight performance, and mitigation of ground risks. The candidate must answer 75% of the questions correctly within 45 minutes to pass the exam.

After successfully completing this exam, you close the test environment. On the next business day you will receive a congratulatory email with all information and Pro Fly Center will submit your passed exam to the European CAA to obtain an A2 registration for you.

• The large EU drone license / A2 remote pilot certificate requires as a basis the completion of the A1/A3 certificate of competency with or without training to obtain an A2 license.
• Upon completion of the EU A1/A3 certificate of competency you receive your identification number. If a drone is available, the remote pilot as owner or company member provides their insurance number and, after a few days, receives the operator number (E-ID) from the Federal Aviation Office.
• As a drone owner, the remote pilot, whether with the EU A1/A3 certificate of competency or the EU A2 remote pilot certificate, must in any case visibly affix the operator ID to the drone in order to meet the drone’s operating conditions.
• Flight in subcategory A2 with a drone with a take-off weight over 4 kg requires an additional operating authorization.
• In subcategory A3, a drone with or without CE classification with a take-off weight of up to 25 kg may be operated.
