Theory:

The essential rules, safe handling of drones, plus tips & tricks for real-world use are taught. Upon completion of this course, participants receive a competency certificate.

This training teaches safe drone operation—saving money and nerves.

Theory & Practice:

The goal of the theory–practical training is to equip participants with the fundamentals of drone operation. We provide helpful handling tips, answer questions on the spot, and share further web resources and apps. Training is conducted on DJI drones. The course is split into a practical and a theoretical part and focuses on key safety aspects, without depending on the specifics of individual models.

• Takeoff & landing
• Flying in different flight modes
• Application tips
• Usage / RTH / sensors
• Essential maneuvers in GPS mode
• Critical in-flight situations
• Flight in ATTI mode

The training length depends on group size and can last up to 3 hours for larger groups. In the practical part, it’s not only about flying—there is also valuable exchange with other pilots, observing, and learning from each other.

• Minimum age 18, or from 16 with a legal guardian

• All prices include VAT.
• If there are too few participants, the training will be held individually at our center (Heidelberg) or the date will be postponed / the booking will be cancelled with a refund.
• Class size for theory training: 4–10 participants.
• Class size for practical training: 4–5 participants per instructor.
• This course covers only the function and setup of DJI drones.

Practical training:

• You will fly with an insured DJI drone from Pro Fly Center or your own insured drone.
• If practical training cannot take place due to weather, a replacement date will be arranged.
