A refresher course for holders of a valid A2 license is the best, most affordable, and most effective way to maintain your privileges.

In addition, this training also extends the A1/A3 certificate of competency, which is the minimum required for drone operations in Germany. This means you extend privileges not only for medium-sized drones but also for smaller drones.

The process is simpler and faster than the initial A2 training and comes at a lower cost. If you want to save a few hundred euros, complete the A2 refresher before your current A2 license expires!

Because the exam can be taken independently, you can start and complete it yourself at any time—24/7.

Exam: 30 minutes / 21 questions (multiple choice, 1 of 4)

The exam includes 3 current questions from each of the following areas:

• Mitigation of ground risks
• Meteorology
• UAS performance
• Operational procedures (contingencies and emergencies)
• Aviation regulations (open category only)
• Flight safety (general concepts)
• Airspace restrictions (geo-zones)

A score of 77% or higher is a pass!

Our pilots already have an account and only need to be activated for the course. It doesn’t matter whether you earned your A2 license with us in SMART mode (via the Polish CAA) or STANDARD mode (via the German LBA). The process is the same for all our customers.

PFC pilots receive a discount and already have full A2 content in their learning portal.

If you obtained your A2 license at another school in Germany or in another EU country (e.g., the Netherlands or Spain), you can still take part in the A2 renewal training!
